Virginia Tech players’ items stolen from lockers


The nightmare debut of Brent Pry as Virginia Tech head coach continues to worsen. After getting upset 20-17 by Outdated Dominion Friday night time in Norfolk, Hokies gamers found objects stolen from the visiting locker room.

Virginia Tech released a statement confirming objects have been lacking from the locker room.

“The Virginia Tech athletic division confirmed there have been objects lacking from the Virginia Tech locker room following the soccer sport in opposition to Outdated Dominion in Norfolk Friday night time,” the assertion learn. “The college is working with legislation enforcement and Outdated Dominion College on the matter, and can have no additional remark.”

Outdated Dominion released a statement of their very own shortly afterward. Within the assertion, the college apologized to the Hokies for the matter. Additionally, Outdated Dominion police are conducting an investigation.

“ODU Athletics has been working with Virginia and the Outdated Dominion Police Division since we turned conscious of the theft of non-public property of some Virginia tech student-athletes on Friday night time. ODU athletics sincerely apologizes to Virginia Tech, the Virginia Tech athletic administration, and the younger males who had objects stolen. Friday night time was the Hokies’ first sport below new head coach Brent Pry. The night time turned from dangerous to worse throughout halftime. The Hokies trailed 10-7 when coaches got stuck in an elevator going to the coaches field. The incident delayed the beginning of the third quarter.
